Zoo's overrun by star polyps

My frag plug of zoos are getting covered and overrun by a neighboring star polyp colony. What do you suggest? Will the zoos be ok or will they die. what should I do at this point?

You can cut the GSP mat with a razor and peel it off the frag plug.
