Need some advice (New tank build)

I also completed my scape, just letting it hang out a bit so the epoxy can cure.

Should be the last update before water goes into it.

Went to ikea and picked up some storage shelves and from there, I decided run all my connections, wires, power etc. out of one of the cabinets. This also allowed me to have extra storage space for the rest of my reef junk.

Clean !!!!!

Now it's the waiting game. Tank is filled and cycling. I used Dr.Tim's one and only and it's Amonium Cloride to start it.

Ita been going for about a week now and although not ready yet, my pod order came earlier than expected so I just tossed them in. I can always replenish later on if I need to if they don't make it.

I have a temporary power head off to the side that I used just to mix the saltwater in the tank. I'll also need to pick up some new ones at some point before I add fish.

Get the seachem suction cup ammonia alert. I always use those when I startup a tank. Easy to keep an eye on ammonia and know when it's ok to add fish.

Question to all:

So I have very limited space in my sump and was thinking about getting 2x heaters for some redundancy. What i need something around the 200watt range.

Can I get away with running 2x 100/150watt heaters so I can get a more condensed model that I can place in the sump?

I have 3 heaters. 2 in sump, 1 in tank. In case 1 goes, I have 2 backups. All are on my apex for full control.

2 x 150w should be fine, i had the same when i had this tank. you can also look inot titanium heaters, usually smaller than the glass counterparts

Yea I was looking at the IceCap heaters as they seem to be pretty affordable.

I use eheim jager heaters and just change them out every year.

My issue with them was the size as the one I had was huge and really didn't fit in my sump.
