    Tang stocking suggestion.

I agree with a 24 being ok for a QT for those fish as long as they are not at their max size. Is your 120 a 6' or 4' long tank? I have a 4' long 120 and I have the following fish in it. Yellow Tang (about 5"), Sailfin Tang (about 3"), Gold Stripe Maroon Clown (about 2"), Melanurus Wrasse (about...

    TDS meter from AWI

I am going to purchase a TDS meter from AWI during the group buy. Can anyone recommend a good one that is not expensive and also recommend the best buy of the devices offered.

    Help with aquascaping

One recommendation I'd make is to move the rock far enough away from the side glass to allow a mag float to slide in and out of there for cleaning.

So very true. Ryan, you can expect and are likely to get a case of diatoms. It will come quickly and leave just as fast. Maybe some hair algae too. Your cleanup crew will assist in removing both.

Imo, finding new living creatures in my tank is one of the best things about this hobby. How long has your tank been cycled?

How long has it been since your tank completed the cycle? You shouldn't think about getting corals anytime before you upgrade your lights at the earliest.

:) You'll need a lot more than that. There are many questions that must be answered really before you decide on what to get. First and foremost do you plan on keeping any fish that will eat crabs or snails? If so then you probably don't want to get them. Do you have a sand bed? If so then you...

Personally I wouldn't. Imo Snails do a much better job and with crabs you'll be taking a chance that they will one day kill your Snails. If you want crabs though try some Scarlett Reef Hermits.

I don't know how long your tank has been setup but I agree you should wait a couple to few months after it has been up and running before getting your first coral. You stated the first fish was added about a week ago. If so you should monitor your parameters and verify the fish lives is ok in...

Can I add Marco rock to an established tank?

Oh yeah, I forgot about the smell. You don't want to do this in the house unless you want your family to kick you out.

Can I add Marco rock to an established tank?

You could do that. You could also cure the marco rock by putting it in a bucket with a ph for a few weeks.

Can I add Marco rock to an established tank?

You are taking a chance. The Marco Rock has to cure just like LR and they recommend on the site (marcorock.com) to cure the rock first.

    Absolutely Fish: Absolutely the nicest!

As someone had mentioned somewhere before you have to look at a lot of different things when comparing prices. I would bet their operating costs are much more expensive up there in Clifton than the other store has further south. I don't purchase much from them and are not trying to stick up for...
