Since you cant get reborn anymore I had to switch to arm course media. With Reborn at 6.4 ph it kept my alk at 8.0. Now with arm at 6.4 my alk dropped to 7.6 then 7.4 in two days. I went down to 6.3 and increased the mls to 60 from 55. Going to test again tonight the see what my alk is. I've see...

I would try and mount them up higher. I had a 4 bulb over a 18inch deep tank with the light 6 inches above the tank. I was able to grow clams on the sand bed. So you might be blasting them with light.

Yup one is sodium bicarbonate which is alk and the other one is calcium.

I keep my alk anywhere from 7.5 to 8.5 if it's in that range I'm ok with it and my tank is sps dominated.
