Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
My wife. “Miss Sponge” and I are in Atlanta helping a family member move. Well I couldn’t possibly be 10 miles from the Georgia Aquarium and not go. So I figured I would post a few photos for you all. Enjoy and as always... happy reefing
That’s why I don’t use “Alexa” as my command word. Plus I use phrases it understands that arnt likely to be said accidentally. Like “computer” “turn on tee five one”. Over a year and no accidental on or offs.
Despite the terrible event and outpouring of help from the club. And of course the loss that was suffered. I gotta say, your corals in your “getto set up” look pretty dam good. Best of luck @Omgnotyouagain
That is a pretty bad scallop. I still think it’s safe but totally understand why you would want the warm and fuzzy of replacing it. Did the drill wobble while drilling. That’s what usually causes a scallop. That and to much pressure. Strait and slow. Is the key.
Diana. If you haven’t trashed it yet. Please post pic of scallop. I understand your hesitation. But if there is no crack or Fisher than it is fine. A scallop is essentially no different then if you ground an edge. This is of course unless the rubber gasket that gets compressed between the...

Love my reefbot. Has taken the hassle of testing and reduced it to topping off chemicals. Obviously its also way more consistent and accurate than I am.
Gotta tell ya. In this rare case, I hope your wrong. I mean if the “professional level” ICP test is a little skewed. And we are trusting the hobby grade kit over that ICP test. Then what’s the point. However. Sounds like either way a second test is in order... if you don’t trust the DKH...
Do you normally run your tank at that high of a DKH.
also. Based primarily on the nitrate level. When was last time you did a water change. Perhaps some of your elevated readings are from simple buildup and a good old fashion water change might just be what the doctor ordered
My urchin loves wearing hats. And my orchid dotty indiscriminately covers corals with sand all the time. So far I’ve been able deal with it. As the corals don’t seem to be to badly effected by this behavior
