I like it, and the in sump algae area.. I have a chaeto reactor but it doesn't grow in there nearly as fast as it does in my sump section. For an algae reactor, I've had the most luck in regards to growth speed and volume with the scrubber type algae reactors.

For increased flow it would be good to have a larger pipe diameter for manifold, then out to size plumbing you are using.

I've been using a DCP-18000 for my return for a few years now. It's a great pump. It replaced two DCQ 10000 without skipping a beat. It pushes everything in my system, and still had reserve flow even when I had all the frag tanks still connected.

Keep it in the water, you will use it much more than trailering it, even if you have to drive to a marina to get on it. The more you use it, the more comfortable you will be operating a vessel and the more fun you’ll have. If you’re ever down my area in the summer while you’re trailering it...
