Attention All June Meeting Attendees:
While you are in the area, why not stop by one of our local club sponsors, SMCooler. If you haven't been to Stan's house, now is a perfect time to stop by and check it out. He lives about 15 minutes from my house. He usually has a large stock of frags, zoas...

At the July meeting, there was a discussion involving what happens to wattage used when restricting pump flow.
I hooked my Kill-A-Watt up to my chiller pump (Gen-X), which has a ball valve on the outflow side.

That is a pink tail trigger. My first one jumped, now I have egg crate along the back of the tank and this guy has been in here now for over a month and a half. Great fish, minds his own business.

Here's an FTS and a couple of others to boot. Forgive the point and shoot lack of photographic skills. Enjoy!

There was much rejoicing among my SPS. The fiend has been banished to the sump, and will be traded in.

Anyone have any tricks or tips (besides spear fishing, which I am considering!) for catching a fairly large Powder Blue tang in a 180? This guy's coral munching days are coming to a close. I don't want to tear down my rockwork if I can help it. Much of my colonies/frags are attached to the rocks...
I just got a Milwaukee/Martini low phosphate colorimeter. Nice unit, cheaper than a Hanna, comes with reagents for 100 tests and a case for about $170.00. Just mixed up some IO for a water change, and just for laughs, checked the Phosphate level. It came in at .01, which is not too shabby.

I have a very large Powder Blue Tang, and he is the king of my 180. He is a bully though, and an occasional coral muncher. Just don't believe everything a fish is "supposed to do" (ie. Not eat corals). Everyone I speak to about my PBT munching corals (SPS to boot!) have been fairly surprised.
