Have to agree with you those are the most reliable heater. For my new water buckets I do like something that you can beat around a bit but for the tank the Eheim just work...correctly.
If I had one thing to do over it would be to put my sump out of the room with the tank instead of under in the stand. The 120 that Jim is what I have and it is a great size not to big not to small.

Each membrane has a GPD 25/50/75/100 etc. Maybe it came with a 25 GPD membrane and with the cold weather it slows down even more? You don't have to replace the unit in any case you cold just replace the filter/RODI cartridge/and Membrane. Check to see which membrane you have if it is 25 GPD...
In my T5 days I thought there was little difference between the two bulbs other than price. There are threads out there debating the two bulbs if you want to get into it. Both are good quality bulbs so IMHO go for the cheaper one.
