My sump has two PVC pipes that have slits cut in them. They need to be cleaned roughly once a week. I slide them up onto the overflow pipes.

I have a question. I bought the Apollo LEDs and generally am very happy with them. I have a large number of AOG that used to extend sometimes up to an inch on the stock. Now they do not do this. So I am wondering if a) it has to do with the LED output being higher than T5 b) different...

Total most overflows will not take that kind of turnover. See my previous post. Less overflow will be less waterfall noise.

Looks great. Why not run a manifold off the Mag 9.5(should be a bit overkill anyway) for all the 2LF reactors? Will save you a few bucks on not only electricity but also powerheads. BTW what was the 1100+ gallon tank that is huge.:o Not fair just throwing that fact with no explanation.

I worry that the fish is injured in some way. I think PaulB is the one that suggests tangs and butterfly fish are just prone to internal injury which is what yours sounds like. Do you have a picture? I agree with Phil you cannot have too sterile an environment.

Yes you will never probably see the peppermint shrimp. I have two blood shrimp and one peppermint that I see ever other week or so.

I have RBTA and rock anemone in the same tank. I would put the more mobile BTA in first then put in others that don't move much.
