Guys I am so confused.. He was super dead when I woke up, my dad even looked at him and agreed. Even paler than at night, stuck in a hole in a rock, and no sign of breathing. I just went in to get him out and as soon as my hand was an inch away he shot out and is swimming with my other...
Yeah you are correct. Nothing in the tank is ever effected except my clowns. My tank is in my bedroom so nothing goes on in there until I come up for bed and when I do I don't even turn my room lights on so I don't stress them out. The light had been off for about 2 hours at the time I posted it...
I got them 3-4 weeks ago. I don't QT, no space left in my bedroom for one. J don't even testing my params other than CA/ALK because if something was up I'm confident my acros would be the first thing to give me a sign

Yeah I've asked at some fish stores and the guy said probably brook and since my first 2 were wild caught I switched to captive bred after that. I let my tank sit clown free 3 months then got a new pair. Looked great up until last night. The one is dead and I will remove him shortly but the...
I've tried from 3 different places, always ends up happening. I would think if it was a disease my other fish would get sick too but its only the clowns. If these ones dont make a magic recovery I'm not getting any more clowns ever again. They are my favorite fish but I can't keep wasting this...
Welp I am having the same problem I did a few months ago with my old clowns. They look great and happy for weeks, eat well, all that, then suddenly at night turn extremely pale and act crazy. They start swimming into everything and then lay on the bottom and by morning are dead. Nobody I have...
Here are two threads on DIY'ing it. If I decide to get one before Christmas I'll go this route lol.

Joining along, I'm curious too. Just did a lot of work under my stand and sump for my 46G so now I have room where I could probably fit a 5 gallon tank for an ATO reservoir so maybe I could try and ask for one for Christmas lol.

I use return pump and powerhead. General reccomendation is 20x turnover. That means if you have a 40 gallon tank you want ~800GPH, less if its a softie/FOWLR tank, more if its an SPS dominated tank. For a 65 gal DT I'd probably want 1500 GPH throughout 2-3 powerheads and a return pump.

Ooh those are really cool! I hate online ordering because shipping always ends up costing more than what I want haha

I'm upgrading my current sump to one twice as big since I started feeding my corals and I need some extra room for filtration. I want to have some macroalgae in the sump but also really like some species for my main tank like ochtodes, halimeda, halymenia, dragons breath, blue scroll...
I'm good with this provided it's cheap. I can barely afford to get stuff for my main tank so would prefer to not spend too much here lol

Hmm. Would love to do this but don't really want to spend money on another light nor would I know what to get! If somebody could give an idea for a cheap light that would grow some corals I would be down to enter [emoji12]

Definitely not bearded fireworms (the ones you want to watch out for) but don't look like my bristleworms. Mine are all black and red/pink. I don't think you should be worried about them. If there are as many as you say and pod blooms I think he might be overfeeding. I reccomend keeping...
Congrats! I was hoping to win some of the coral food or supplements but didn't get anything. I was actually talking to the guy who won the tank, he was at the counter filling out 6,000 tickets and said "I probably won't win, I've never won anything in my life before" and sure enough he got it...
My tank has been stocked since April so not sure how it's going to do but I've never had a coral die on me. Except a mushroom lol

Today I got my first acropora and while I can't judge it just yet I think it looks pretty happy!
Kind of hard to see but after about 20 minutes in the tank it already has a little bit of polyp extension. Hope it does well in the long run, maybe one day I can move onto the fancy ones!
