the Reef Breeder LEds have a backup wire built into the diode so that if the led burns out it will still send a current and not have a cascading failure of the rest in the circuit

did you find the specs for your original leds? the whites reefbreader sells go up way past 10k might buy some in a few weeks. :)

im not sure. i know ive seen them in a number of places reefbreaders i think has them. your prob looking for 90 degree optics.

I do think that your LEDS burned because of too much thermal grease on those first few LEDS...

Perhaps we should start a reef LED repair shop. :)

Cool Paul I don't see that those LEDS have the extra wire to protect from overload if the led burns out..Am I missing something? And that is very cool that you saw the fan corrosion. how are the other lights? Did you did a way to fix the optics in place?

cool! It's really not too hard to figure out. Order the reef breeder LEDs and finish the other light. How were the other 2 that you didn't bring over?
