Unfortunately that tank was a victim of Sandy. :( I was doing a 2:1 ratio (reef:fowlr) on the warm water jugs but the temp must have gotten too low. I hoped the fish would hold up, but by the time I got the generator it was too late, I lost the damsel and the puffer.
Paul, the iTemp is not that bad. I have the iTemp probe and two JBJ heaters with their own controllers. All 3 are calibrated to a good 'ol glass aquarium thermometer. The iTemp and JBJ's are never usually more than 0.2 degrees off from each other.

Anyone else have any little tips or tricks like this to making reefing a little easier?
I'm going to close this one early since it seems like a landslide.
As most of you guessed the Hammer laid the smack down on the Jedi. It was not pretty and a I thought I was going to lose the Jedi.
I will draw a frag winner tonight and post up the next round.
Seriously! All the corals were double or triple bagged, and they use staples to close the bags not rubber bands. They were done up tight like a water ballon so there was no sloshing around. Those bags were placed inside a big plastic bag with packing peanuts. Covered with newspaper and heat...
