That's definitely a sea spider (pycnogonid). There are a lot of different ones, people's experiences have been different. Some eat things you don't care about. I know of at least one infestation of sps-eating sea spiders that required a tank teardown. Another guy had sea spiders that ate zoos...
I have my old 2-stage spectrapure RO. Non-DI. The 90GPD membrane is in good shape but you might want new cartridges or take the ones from yours. $20. PM if interested.
I use one and it's great but I have to say they are pretty badly made. I have had one outlet fail and one switch come loose. Not a quality product, I hope they don't use them at the nuclear plant.
I keep feeding that nem silversides, I'm hoping it splits in time to move to your "real" setup! I am planning to put back in the old 12K bulbs for now and order some 400W ballasts.
Things have been mostly good lately. I changed from 1200K to 1500K bulbs which made me happy initially, because of the glowing colors, but it seems to me they have a lot less PAR and I have had some corals go brown on me. Currently trying to decide whether to go back to 1200K Ushios, or to...
Nice work! I was a huge fan of the Tamiya kits in the 70s and 80s, especially the 1:35 military miniatures series. I built a lot of WWII tanks, halftracks and others back then. Plus the excellent soldiers, painting them is an art in itself. I don't know where they all went -- I suspect my...

Cool Bax, thanks for the update. That Teal Stag frag is looking great, it sprouted some baby blue tips! Nem is also doing fine, I fed it some pieces of squid yesterday I was cooking for dinner.
My tank is a 68 X 30 X 25 (I think). I bought it from Glasscages, who deliver periodically to this area. You have to go to White Plains to pick it up, or pay a fortune to have it come to your door. I had to get mine in Pennsylvania because their truck broke down, but that's another story. They...
Gonna try and clip a couple frags from my Ponape Birdsnest, I have a couple from my fast growing purple and blue millie ready to go. Maybe a surprise donation for the raffle...
Does anyone want "nuclear death-and-destruction" Zoos? They're pale green and multiplying. Anyone want to swap...
Jeff: Some of us polar bears never got onto the iceberg in the first place.
Bill, Jim T, It's great that you three guys, and Bax, read my thread. Hey I know, maybe I'll just email you with updates.
Actually I'm thinking about setting up my own website, where I can put stuff about my tank, my...
