Thanks Jim know I seemthe 225. My doorway is 27.5 inches wide. That would make it interesting. :-)
Spotter I've followed your build and your tank looks fantastic. I think a euro brace might be wasted on me. I love my wrasses and need a cover.
Jim I took a look at the DSA tanks tonight and they are very nice. Looks like the biggest they make is about 180 unless you go custom. When the time comes I'll probably get a quote. I think their prices are going to fall in between glass cages and the higher end custom tanks.
Sunny I'm going...
Thanks Jim
There is a copy called D. A. S. One of our sponsors sells them. I've seen the DSA tanks and they look very nice. I'm not sure that they make anything in that size though. Next time I'm in the Hidden Reef I'm going to ask about them.
I'm thinking about jumping up to a tank in the 200 to 300 gallons range down the road. I'd love to go with a custom tank from Coast to Coast or Miracles but my budget won't allow it. I saw a DASH aquarium the other day and it appeared to be reasonably well constructed. I understand they can do...
I currently have a 120 but am thinking about moving up to something in the 240 to 300 range in the next year or so. With that in mind I've been keeping my eye open for a used calcium reactor. I've been primarily looking for a mtc procal or a geo but I've been offered a vertex RX6 duo. I've done...
Welcome to the club.I'll second the gfo. I started my 120 gallon tank in November with about 80 # of pukani rock. Since I was starting off from scratch I just rinsed my rock and allowed it to cycle in my tank. I initially had very high phosphate levels and the gfo helped to knock it back and...
Has anyone ever ordered from them? They seem to get pretty good reviews on RC. I'm thinking about ordering a pair of flame wrasses from them but I'm a little concerned about having them shipped all the way from Hawaii.
I'm using a blueline 500 watt titanium heater with my controller. Can't vouch for its long term reliability since I've only had it about 5 months but so far so good. I picked it up from champion lighting for around 35 or 40 dollars.
My 120 gallon tank is going on 6 months and thanks to a lot of guys here I’ve acquired a number of SPS and LPS frags. I’ve been using kalk for my ATO, but have been thinking that down the road I might need to go to 2-part dosing or a calc reactor as my tanks demands increase. I’ve been going...
Come to think of it I'm 90% sure the outlets go to a default value if the controller would fail. I'll test it tonight by unplugging it and see what happens.
George was it easy to swap out the boards? I am try their dosing pump and will probably need the extra memory.
I have wondered myself what I would do it the controller failed. For the most part I could get up and running with the only hiccup being my heater which doesn't have a thermostat. I do have a backup heater that includes use in a pinch.
