Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Wha-wha-wha-what! I had them?!? Dude, I had no idea. I actually still have no idea. I may have them, I have no clue! They don't really look familar to me but I'm not a zoa guy at all. They may be roaming around the frag tank . . . who knows!
I like the new aquascaping a lot better than the solid wall but IMO it's a little too far in the other direction. It would be cool if you could add an arch or a shelf or something to put a little more "meat" in it. Otherwise, it's a big improvement.
Are the inhabitants getting used to it?
Hi Bryan. Welcome to NJ and to NJRC. We're glad you found us. Hopefully you can attend some of our meetings as they are great way to meet other members, talk about our systems and generally have a good time.
Just out of curiosity, you wouldn't happen to be in the Hampshire Hills section of Jackson, would you? There is a house right around the corner from me and it has that telltale "glow". I was wondering if it was you.

Great collabration guys (Olivier, too!).

I use two 50g drums the same way as you're thinking about. I have one with fresh water and one for salt water. The fresh water drum has a Kent Float Valve near the top and is tied into our RO/DI unit. The float valve keeps the drum full of RO/DI water. There is a hole cut close to the top with a...
Do you normally have luck with rics and this one just isn't doing well or is this the first one and it's not doing well? The reason I ask is that for whatever reason, I can't keep rics at all. Everytime I've tried they shrink away until they're gone. Apparently there is something about my system...
I'm not sure what Ca Reactor you have but you should not open the effluent valve all the way. I forget what the flow rate should be. It's something like 100mL a minute or something. I can tell you that our effluent runs a little quicker than that. The way I dial it in is to get to a point where...
