I did a little research but got frustrated by all of the mixed reviews. I figured with the guarantee I really didn't have a whole lot to lose so I gave it a shot.
I put one X-150 in the line going to the stock tank, one X-150 in the line going to the frag tank and then one X-75 in each return...
A friend of mine, who's new to the hobby, pointed me in the direction of the EcoAqualizer and asked if I had ever heard of it. I didn't but thought I'd check it out. When I first started looking into the product, my immediate reaction was "Yeah right. It's just another gimmick". I did a little...
My bad. Thanks everyone for the clarification. For some reason, I had it in my mind that the frag was already attached to rubble or a disk or something. OOOPS! Yeah, you never want to put putty right onto the frag.
Thanks to a tip from RichT, we've found that it works best to use both the Aquatick and super glue gel together. Here's the process: Mix up the Aquastick until the two parts are uniformly blended, the flatten it out a little to form a "cup" and put in squirt of super glue gel. Mix that together...
I've tried a few variations of maxi-jet mods and never had much luck with any of them. The sure flows worked the best, and gave a good amount of flow, but for me they were way too noisy. I'm a big fan of the Koralias. They seem to give about the same amount of flow with none of the noise.

I found it ridiculously boring. It took well over an hour before he got into the Iron Man suit for the first time. Then it was a long time before he got into again. The whole plot was really predictable.
Apparently I'm in the minority. RottenTomatoes.com gave it a 92%. Go figure . . .
Save yourself the money. I just saw it tonight. What a completely boring and predictable movie. If you feel like you really *need* to see it, wait until it comes on UPN or something. It was really bad.
JMO, obviously.
C'mon, she shouldn't mind a hundred or so of your best friends showing up one weekend ;D
On a serious note, I wouldn't mind seeing that vinegar test done on several different brands - from commonly accepted to contractor grade.
NIIIIIIICE! Let me know how I can help out, Bill. I can definitely put something together for you if you want.
Instead of looking at boring drawings, why don't you and Cindy come down and have a few beers while we look at it in person! Hmmm, that may scare her into changing her mind though!
Depending how snug the fit is, you really don't need clamps on a connection that's under water. That being said, it's probably best to use the plastic ones. Don't use metal though.
I'm afraid to buy it for the same reason! Let me know how it is. I'm sure the regular game play is awesome but I'm really curious about the online play. I heard it was pretty good but I'm VERY spoiled by COD.
It's kind of tough to want to post in this thread without feeling like you're fishing for compliments but I gotta say somthing nice about Brian.
I find it hard to believe that if I hadn't gotten into reef keeping I would have never met Brian. . . and that would be a shame. He's one of the true...
I don't really want to get in the middle of this but to be fair I will say that I clearly heard Bruce say that at Ken's meeting. He specifically said to check you GH first to A) determine what size unit you would need and B) to see if it's even the right option.
You can try putting a 90* elbow on your drain line right at the surface of the water in the sump so that half is below the water level and half is above. That sometimes helps. I've found that systems generally run the quietest when you have the return flow as close to the maximum overflow rate...
