    Mike's Dream Build

Your correct, the house was built in the late 40's. We did a total gut of the kitchen/dining room and went out 5 feet to make room for the tank. I had the electrician run a line to the ceiling above the tank for my Kessil lights. To get as clean of a look as possible, I will not be...

    Dan's 150 Rebuild

when you piece the PVC together are you applying cement on both pieces and twisting it to set it (you should). I think you might not have used enough cement. You also need to make sure you hold it together until it sets as it will try to separate. Sorry if this is obvious.

    Mike's Dream Build

Some progress!! So the slowest build thread is starting to make some progress. My temporary tank isn't doing so well, as I don't have my controller connected and I have been a bit behind on ensuring parameters are in check. A lot of the SPS's are probably in trouble. On the good side...

    Drilling bottom of the sump?

I've decided to go external with my pumps, and in order to save some table top space (basement sump), I was thinking of drilling the bottom of the sump for the bulk heads and running to the pumps which will sit below on a separate shelf. I've see 1 example of this, but the side of the sump was...

    Gyre unboxing

We're currently in the middle of an addition/Kitchen renovation, so during the planning process my 1 requirement to the architect and Kitchen designer was for a new larger tank. I think that was a fair trade, new kitchen for a new tank!! I just broke down and order one to play around with. I...

    Wire Management

I bought a case of these which made the shipping more bearable from another cable management site. Also, if you have a miter saw get a cheap plastic cutting blade for a clean cut.
