Just the other day I was thinking this would be a great shared device for club members. Just pay shipping and it goes to the next guy.

    Moving and Must Sell

I might be interested in the $50 razor. Is it all the whites that don't work? I'm only looking for the blues anyway, so this could work for me.

New Tank build - Who's using the Triton method?

I think I can go full Triton, I think my fuge is big enough, especially if I move the skimmer.

New Tank build - Who's using the Triton method?

Does it also eliminate water changes? Probably not, right?

New Tank build - Who's using the Triton method?

Could I put the skimmer in the middle and make the right chamber the fuge?

New Tank build - Who's using the Triton method?

Here's my setup. I'm not 100% clear on whether my fuge (middle) is before my skimmer (right).

New Tank build - Who's using the Triton method?

Currently shopping for a fuge light. Considering a few options: there are $30 plant grow led bulbs on amazon, there is the $129 kessil A80, or $300 H380. I'm concerned with the heat created by the big kessil though. I know this is the cornerstone of the triton approach, so I want to be sure I...

New Tank build - Who's using the Triton method?

Starting up a 40B this weekend and am seriously considering this triton method. Anyone have any experiences they can share? Basically other than the chemicals, and maybe a better return pump, it looks like I just need the chemicals. List of equipment: 40B E-shopps R-200 sump Skimmer 2 BRS...

What makes a $300 sump better than a $30 diy?

I'm strongly considering doing the triton method on this tank. What fuge light are you running? How easy/hard has the overall experience been, and have the results matched your expectations?

What makes a $300 sump better than a $30 diy?

Picked up the R-200. $83 out of pocket, so much more palatable than $300.

What makes a $300 sump better than a $30 diy?

I may actually go the premade route now; but only because my LFS needs a bunch of leopard geckos (and I have a surplus), so my out of pocket will be ~$75 for the E-shoppes R-100. If not for that, I'd be making a DIY for sure, it actually looks like a fun project.

What makes a $300 sump better than a $30 diy?

Interesting. Why do you want to adjust the water level? I'm still learning. My last "sump" was literally Tupperware because that's all I could fit in my nano stand. I have a 20L, and I have some plexiglass, so I may just take a crack at it. How would I determine the right baffle height to...

What makes a $300 sump better than a $30 diy?

Curious why people spend 10x as much $$$for a premade sump, instead of making their own? One benefit seems to be they are quieter, but I feel like I was able to make mine (acceptably) quiet. Are there other reasons I'm missing? Basically I'm in the frenzied phase of starting a new tank...
