Everything went well with my surgery today. I'm home in bed and in a lot of pain, but I guess that is the price you pay to feel better. I just wish the nausea would go away... :(

Yes, generally you want it closed like it is, and once a month open it and let it run for 5 min. to flush the membrane. It looks like you are ok with the 800, it can be used for a 75 or 100 GPD membrane but typically 75's use a 600 flow restrictor.
