You will need aleast a 1" - 1.5" especially to keep up with a pump that's rated 500-700 gph. Why don't you just drill the tank? Its a whole lot easier the doing all that PVC piping.

You can always buy a non reef ready and drill the tank with glassholes Overflow kits. That would take less space then the corner overflow box.

I don't see nothing wrong with the manufactured 300gal tank. Why not save the $1500 and invest it in your equipment. And you will have a bad *** tank and equipment for $3000 Instead of $5000. Just my opinion. Good luck on whatever you choose.

Has anyone fragged a Pagoda? I have 9" pagoda that I need to frag and I'm a little nervous to do it. Can I use a dremal with a diamond wheel to frag it? I don't have a bandsaw to use to frag it.
