IMO, you're not going to get nearly the sensitvity out of a ball valve as would out of a gate valve. When it comes to tuning in skimmers, precision is important. The ball valve most likely won't allow you to make the fine adjustments necessary. JMO, though.

Happy Thanksgiving Bill. We're using one of the Two Little Fish reactors. It sounds like it may be small for our system but seems to do a good enough job. Our phosphates always seem to be pretty low, as long as we stay on top of media changes.
