You need a TDS (total dissolved solids) meter to tell. Bob

Just buy a used canister filter with a gravel vac. It will do what your looking for and when you need extra filtration you have it. I use a Magnum 350. Bob

Are Pom Pom crabs reef safe? I know the poms are little anemones. Do they sting coral as the crab moves? Bob

I stopped by OCII yesterday to pickup some live brine shrimp, walked out with a really nice sps colony. Chris (the resident fish and coral expert) talk with me awhile as I tried to pick from tank full of colonies, tough call. I could've dropped my whole paycheck. Definately worth a trip. Say...

1. I have these lights, Nova Extreme has 4x39w lights. 2x 10,000k day lamps and 2x actinic lamps. Has moonlights, cords for controlling which lights you want on, and of course moonlights! 39W I'm guessing this is a 36" fixture? Bob
