The AQ 110 is a very good filter .. that filter use's a sponge.. the carbon comes in mesh bags if you want to use that... i just use the sponge and 2 bags of Bio Ceramic Cylinders Filter Media and i still have room if i want to add anything else like phos zorb when needed

yeah the fuzz but it don't seem to be near the zoa's.. just at the tip of the rock.. I wish the pic is clearer but that's about the best i can get

One other thing.. I just remembered was... watch the rock for a few weeks just in case you have some bad hitchhikers... Aiptasia, Mantis shrimp, Majones just to name a few.. A magnifying glass will help

I picked up a old whisper from a flea market for $3.. I just use it if stuff is going to get stirred up in tank..BTW i just use floss for the media... you can pick that up at a pet smart for under $4 for a Lot of floss.. you might want to do this before adding sand.. trust me it will save your...

You might want to put a old Mechanical filter in there or powerhead with filter just to clean up the s***t

If I lived closer i would have given you a hand.. I started this hobby 4th july this year... but i know how you feel.. you might want to mix the salt and add water to tank first before getting anything.. home depot has buckets for under $3 and 87 cents for the lid pick up a few.. you are going...
