Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
that is why it should use with a TOP OFF switch - something like below:
and a timer to only TURN-ON for a short period of time everyday...

if ONE maxijet not enough, i am sure adding one more maxjet in the middle would definitely...
i believed they are standard parts...
however, some name branded on may be a bit better quality compared to other...
but i would just buy the regular - cheap one...
;)
for topoff, i don't think it need to be a big pump at all...
you can:
- get a maxi-jet 1200 or something on a timer (1 or 2 hours a day)
- hook it up with those small 1/4 tube (for RO/DI ussage)
- and have a float switch on the other side to STOP the water when full
never tried it, but in...
Re: Here's my 120
wow... it is pretty...!
i assume you have some ways to prevent all those water to overflow the 29 PM sump (IF the Baxacuda pump ever went bad).
;)

Congratulations to Jason (juice44) for winning the December 2008 POTM contest.
Great Picture!!
Quote from Jason:
=================
This is a picture of my beautiful red/orange yuma. It is about 3" in diameter and one of my favorite pictures. The photo was taken with my Nikon D60. It has been...
Candi,
the live rock was from my sump... they are very live... Dan also scoop up a cup of many live bugs/pods/live-sand from my tank too.
:D
Ron,
Once your tank is ready to add stuff, I already told Dan that you can have a 3-4 heads frogspawn, some mushrooms and some zoas from my tank.
;)...
i think you mind want to start a new thread... and have a link from here to there may be?
we don't want others to spent time to read no-use info on this old post...
;)
Bruce,
yes, i can turn off the wave-maker with a timer...
i would like to have it in slow mode rather than off.
the choice of continuesly-slow-mode vs slow wave mode, not really matter to me...
however, it does matter if the circuit gets too complicated for other normal peoples (like you).
;)
what i am saying is, you no need to to have wave box for a 90g.
may be you can stop by Peter's house to see how it is working right now without the wavebox.
a heads up, for those brave ones wanted to dive in with the wave-maker hype...
i am order this for the wave maker... I would like to have my wave maker to be peacefully at night (it would be off, slow power, or slow wave - which i haven't decided yet)...
Rick,
it should be fine... the controller box have a turn dial switch on the side that you can turn it to less power if needed.
6100 is great for wave-box...
;)
I mean wave-maker... Pete (fisheye) have the same 6100 in his 90 gals (WITHOUT the wave-box).
in my case - they don't really walk at all...
but it is kind of difficult to set up to station right in the beginning... like you have a spot for it, but it instead facing you... it may face backward...
;)
i got two (4+ inches) at the very beginning when i setup my tank, the only problem is, the grow very big...
when it reach 6+ inches (6 months or so), i gave away one...
and still kept the other one since (it's been 3+ yrs) I now on purpose to feed it with LESS food, so it stay about 6+...
10,000k halides - that should be enough...
well, becoming an member would be easy... http://www.njreefers.org/joomla/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=28&Itemid=1
;)
BTW: you DON'T need to be a member to join the monthly meetings...
:D
yeah, they are pretty, and have few different colors...
just be aware IF ordered from Internet...
I saw a very pretty RED one online, and it said "color may vary..." sure enough it came in as a brownish color... i still have it!
so, it is better to see it in your own eye before purchasing one.
