I've been running a Fluval 405 (left over from my cichlid tank) on my 46. It also is easy to clean and very reliable. It's rated at 340gph and if need be parts are readily available. What made my decision was initial cost and the price of replacement parts (impeller for Eheim was $80.00...
I just purchased a ro/di unit (in the last group buy). I just finished filling my containers and I won't be using it for about 2 weeks. Do I drain the unit in between, leave it filled? Thanks

The barrels you have where filled with a non toxic (to humans and pets) antifreeze that's used to winterize the freshwater (drinking) systems on boats. I use it in my pool plumbing. It safe to pump it into the pool when it opened. Don't know if that helps or not.

After reading the for sale sections on njreefers and reef central for a while I've noticed a lot of burnt out moonlight LEDs on hoods. My understanding was that LEDs lasted for about 10,000 hours why so many failures.

I'm in piscataway nj 08854. I appreciate the offer but I think I can get some help locally. The tank is on a tile floor so it hopefully it won't be that hard (lift and slide).
Thanks

I need to move my 46 bowfront 2" more away from the wall and 6" to the right. Has anyone ever moved a tank without breaking it down. It's on a Oceanic composite stand. I can remove about 20 gals without exposing my LR and corals.
