Dr. Mac Trip: Saturday, July 14

Well, for me it was 12 hours of travel (due to a small wait each way) for 2.5 hours of time at the store. I would say it was worth the trip. I got some pretty nice pieces for a reasonable price. The one thing I thought was a little odd was that the 40% off didn't apply to already marked down...

    Nuisance Bryopsis Hair Algae

Hey John! I'm glad you found us. Please stop by often. We may be located in NJ but our experience is universal (i.e. it'll even apply to a PA reef! :D) Good luck and please stay in touch.

    Autotopoff.com

Just drill a hole in the garbage can put it in! The gaskets will seal the opening but a nice thing is that the way it is designed, the float stops the flow before the water hits the hole.

    Autotopoff.com

For the RO/DI holding tank I'd use a Kent float switch (available at most places). For the sump, I'd go with the dual float switch from ATO.com.

    Autotopoff.com

I'm not sure. It seems like their site is down. Give them a few hours and try back. Maybe they are having some sort of system glitch or something.

    Potter anyone?

One other thing, this is a rare instance where I actually like the movies more than the books. The movies cut out all of the dumb stuff.

    Potter anyone?

The reason I stopped Reading/listening to them was I got extremely bored at her attempts to fill pages with inane nonsense. The one example I can think of off the top of my head (and I know there were many many more) was in the book where they all went to the quiditch(sp) world cup or whatever...

    Location of t-5 ballast????

Hi Jim to NJRC! When we ran t-5's, we kept the ballast in the stand. IceCap sells a extension cable for something like $17 that will make your wiring harness long enough to get it there. I didn't know that about the end caps, Ed. That's good info to have in case we re-use the t-5's.
