    Algea gone wild

So the high rate that the water is getting pushed through there DI shouldn't affect it. Also the algea looks like dino minus the bubbles. Might be because of the water flow.

    Algea gone wild

out of the membrane is between 3-8 depending on the time of day. Its a constant 5 out of the DI. Is high water flow through the DI okay? I don't know if this is a problem or not. The way my setup is Sediment Carbon Carbon RO Pressure tank then DI so when I turn it on its pushing through pretty...

    Algea gone wild

So the algea is the same, maybe a little worste. Its goofy. I syphon most of it out and it comes back looking worste in a day or so. Another thing is I noticed my tds coming out of my di is reading 5. So I'm guessing this might be the culprit of my algea/brown slime bloom.

    What to do now??

I donno. Those hairy mushrooms can pack a punch. But yes If you don't want a tank full of just one coral you should trim back those overtaking the others. On a side note I did see a tank full of pulsing xenia's that was real cool looking. Not mine...

    Making a rock tower.

So I want to make the rock work go most of the way up in my 40 pillar without stacking against the back wall. What would be the safest way to do this? PVC through the middle, Pulling all the rock out and concreting it all together, zipties, ect? I want it to be about 23-24" high. Also as fall...

2 1300gph powerheads, low rock not to many dead spots. The back glass gets blasted and it has a choke hold there. I tried the hermit thing but they just run off the edge. Small ball of cheto and small piece of caulpra of sorts. Sump just holds it and there is a 3" deep container full of...

    Algea gone wild

I'll give it a try and move the frag rack lower in the tank so it can be reached by the CUC that seems to be algea grazers.

    Algea gone wild

What sucks is its not really on the rocks. Its mainly on the frag plugs and glass.

API. I know everyone hates them for whatever reason but anytime I've had it tested with the better kits it reads the same as what I get with the API My wife might kill me if I started over. Would have to figure out what to do with all the fish and corals until the tank recycled and I don't...

    Algea gone wild

Don't know the exact type of algea but its starting to choke my corals. I have to blow everything off atleast twice a day. Threw 2 big turbo's in there to help out but its still got the upper hand. I've been syphoning it out everytime I do a water change but it comes back within a day or two...

    smart reef ro-di

From where the water goes in it should go sediment, 5 micron carbon, .5carbon, ro, di. If it's a 4 stage just minus one carbon.
