When I had a tank crash for unknown reasons I just ran heavy carbon and it cleared up whatever it was. Didn't lose any fish but lost most of my corals in a 24hr period.
Small update. Still have no clue as what went wrong with the tank. But on a good note I have my first bit of purple coraline algea growing on the back glass and most of the corals left are looking good. Somedays the slipper is so swelled up it is a inch up the glass.
This is truely one of the sadest human acts I've heard of in my lifetime. I just can not fathom any reason to take the life of one child let alone multiple. There are some truely sick and cruel people in this world.
I have 2 older Koralia 500 or 750. Not 100% though. They were given to me with my original tank.
So if I put them high up they would be okayish. Its a mixed tank so it would probably be overkill or not good for lps?
Also would 2 of these be good enough for a standard 75 gal? I figured I'd use 1 or both of the smaller ones I have to put behind the rockwork. Would that be to much flow at that point or should I still be okay?
Does anyone run powerheads that aren't made by big name companies? The reason I ask is I want to get 2 larger ones for my tank to add more flow. I've been poking around on amazon and found some "off name brand" ones that say they are powerfull but are cheap and have suction cups vs magnets...
Outside of adding a coral how would I be able to tell if what ever it was killing things is gone? The corals that are left all look fine. I ran heavy carbon for the past week and just changed it out again to the Seachem SeaGel carbon/GFO mix.
