No, they don't eat pods. They need meaty food. I feed them pieces of clams and earthworms. I have to target feed them or they are to stupid and slow to find food on their own especially with 40 other hungry fish stealing their food as they are rather slow.
Thats great Diana. I may ask you to read my first 10 pages just to get your opinion. I need someone who doesn't know my stories to get a real perspective as my friends and wife knows all of them by now. :)
Today I am staining my wood root table base. Here it is before the stain dried. It will lighten up when it's dry. I think. I just wanted to bring out the grain and not necessarily darken it. It used a lot of stain because it's rough and has a lot of limbs coming off of it.
I still have to...
Last night we went out with friends to a really nice restaurant that we occasionally go to about 15 minutes from my home. It is almost impossible to get in so we made reservations for 4:30. It was a Wednesday so we didn't think the place would get crowded.
We ate in the garden which is really...
How do you know I don't? :D
Dave, I live on a 150 mile long Island. There is driftwood all over the place. Much of it is drift "telephone poles, driftwood pieces of docks and driftwood Oldsmobiles"
I just came back from my favorite LFS across the street from my wife's doctor. He was almost sold out of livestock but not to waste the trip I got 3 small fish just for kicks even though I have way to many fish.
The woman who wrote me the letter in Nam who I was on TV with called me and her...
This thing is 5' long and about 100 lbs. A little to big for any tank I owned. But there is a lot of driftwood on the beach behind my home on the beach, :)
I really love this, but it is on Mystic in the Caribbean and they frown on taking stuff from there but not as much as the airline
I found this gorgeous tree stump root on the beach of the Hudson River at my daughters house. It was in the water so long it had barnacles and mussels growing on it. Now it is sterilized and power washed so no more bark or barnacles. It will become a beautiful table base.
And an hour and a half further to where I live. I'm not sure where the thing is in Jersey. I will probably find out next week.
Yes I am. But they want to buy me a ticket so it doesn't matter. I asked for a private jet. :p
The lady who I was on TV with about that Viet Nam letter thing a few months ago called me yesterday to invite me to speak the week of Veterans Day about Viet Nam. It's on the Jersey Shore but I think I can do it on a Zoom call because it's about a 3 hour drive from here and I don't want to take...
Whenever it rains hard, I go on my morning walk with a tweezers and a plastic bag to put in the earthworms I collect. Do I look weird? I certainly do so I pull a hood over my head so no one recognizes me.
Skinny earthworms that wriggle in the water are probably the best food you can give them...

Dave, except for this place, the rest of New York, even in the dead of winter, there are people on the beaches.:D
This one is private and hard to get to unless you are a resident. Plus, it's down 176 steps which has a locked door on top.
