Don't know about the RBTA, but as far as looking up older threads you can go down to "Thread Display Options" and set it for "begining" then hit "show threads" and look up as far back as the system has archived. Hope this helps and G/L with the Nem.
Stuck it in my non coral tank and I think my monster chocolate chip star ate it as I haven't seen it in a while(not 100%). I don't know why it started to rot (had a heat spike, got a cucumber and downsized from a 135 to a 42 so it could have starved) but I did have it for quite some time before...
I have since seperated them. The only reason they got that close was my cucumber ate the sand from the one side of the brain and it kind of slid toward the plate. It stayed that way for a while. Looked like it was deflating slightly right before I turned the lights out.
So the eel jumped out the tank again and I didn't find it in time so I'm going a different direction with the 40 pillar. I was thinking of seahorses but its the babies tank and she doesn't want them because I would have to take out the stiped damsel. I was thinking of possibly doing a mostly...
Don't give up on the plate. I've read LOTS of stories where someones dead plate produces a bunch of babies months down the line or comes back. Also wouldn't give up on the mushrooms as they are pretty resiliant and can come back given a little time. Good Luck.
How heavy of a bio load are you going to have? If you get aggressive messy eater fish(puffers) I would say run the skimmer, but if you get a couple of small fish that just eat pellets you could go without.
So I think it had something to do with the well water as far as the alk goes. We just hooked up to city water tuesday and I mixed up some salt with just tap and tested it. It put it around 8dkh vs off the charts. Hopefully this helps. As far as PO4 I think I'm going to start soaking/rinsing the...
I've had seahorses in the past and kept them successfully with a dragonet. The LFS has about 5 tank raised babies that he's had for a little while now.
My main concern is if I put some algeas in there the choc will just mow them over. I don't have anything for them to hang onto outside of the...
Well my eel took the plunge again and didn't make it this time so I'm nixing eels in general. I figured I'd switch it to a Seahorse tank with some fancy algea or something along those lines but I'm just worried about the 2 Chocolate Chip Stars I have. Will they be okay together or will the stars...
I have never seen my cucumber on the glass. Didn't even know if could climb up it. Mine just eats dirty sand and craps out clean sand(thats how it looks anyway) The only down fall would be if your rocks are ontop of the sand as it can displace a lot of sand(in the front, out the back some 6-8...
I just started to use the RODI water about 2 months ago. I guess I have to get something to test the salinity other than the hydrometer. I have to go re-up on my salt as this last water change was the last of this box. This box has been the last 200 gal. I just switched from MEI to Reef Crystals...
This time the water was just filtered with the carbon block and sedement filters because it was a rush due to my power was out for 8 hours and I wanted to do a quick water change. Its is well water.
82 is on the high end when the air is off(had 2 nice days). Its more closely around 80 and drops to about 78 at night with the lights out when the airs on. Use to go way up from the heat the lights put off so I set up a fan that blows across the top of the tank. Don't know how high it got today...
