So my 10 gal has been up for about a week and I noticed there is a film on the top of the water and I'm wondering what to do about it. Just tested the water and everything seems normal. The film seems to create bubbles and it really annoys me. What can I do to get rid of the film?

On the plus side I started using reef roids(just mixing it up and putting it in the water column). It looks like all the corals are loving it. The half dead red chalace is puffy and tissue is growning back, half dead bubble is also inflating much more as well. So far this stuff has impressed me.
How far from the top does a monti need to be? I have a monti on a frag rack but want to place it in a permanant spot in my tank. The highest point is about 10" from the top. My other thought was to somehow attach it to the back glass(no idea how) and let it grow out that way.
So I ended up with one damsel.(not supprising) But the Goby made the cut. I guess it just turned into $10 worth of food as the big chocolate chip star got the striped that died and the condi anemone got the domino in its weekend state. Guess if I end up doing something with this tank I'm going...
For some reason one of the sexy shrimp decided to pull the kenya off the rock. Seen it walking around with it this morning. Doesn't look like it ate it as its just sitting on the sand unharmed, just brought it back to the rock they're all hanging out on. Hope I don't have a coral killer on my...
So while I was doing all the water changes today I decided I'd put 2 different polyps and 2 1" kenya trees on a oyster shell and see if any of them make it. If none of them do, then it will be a FO nano. :(
Was it moved rescently? The way its bleaching is kind of odd to me because its almost a perfect square. Looks like maybe something was covering it for a period of time. The reason I'm saying this is I recieved a favia that half the colony was dead and it was almost a straight line due to it fell...
I have a plug full of khaki green polyps and a frag with a pulsing xenia. Let me know what you got. Open to most trades.
Night shot so not fully opened.
Mine went from a fragplug to a 4x4 mat in a couple of months.
It finally opened back up. Whats funny is I didn't even notice until it was closed that it smothered out some zoa's. The zoa's were in all there glory having full light for 2 days. LOL.
So I pulled the rock with mushrooms out and put it back into my display because 2 of the mushrooms detached. I figured I'd buy some dry base rock and put it in my FO and take the LR from there and put that into the nano.
Now my calcium and pH is SKY HIGH :o
But seriously the GSP has yet to open up. Hmm. Its the only thing that seems affected. I wonder whats going on with it.
I figured I'd start a new thread for this tank now that its up and running.
Its a 10 gal with a hob filter full of rubble rock. Skipped the cycling aspect because most of the water was out of my display as well as the rubble rock and some LR. Only thing new in the tank is the sand and one...
Well I think I'm in the clear. Outside of the GSP everything else seems fine(GSP completely closed is what made me look at the tank and find the burger). I'm pretty sure it will open up tommorrow. Thanks for all the imput.

Someone ate all the bacon out of the "bacon sundea". Started with fries then lettuce then burgers. LOL. All in good fun. Only downside was I had to run out and reorder everything.
