I would assume something is bothering it. Does the base look well? Any dark spots or abrasions? Any fish picking at it or resting in it? My devil hands closes when the hawkfish sits in it.

Joe, all depends where you live. Get a TDS meter and test your tap water. Before I moved my tap was 130-140 now its 180. I use 5 and 10 gallon containers for my RO with a 4g ATO reservoir.

My nitrates are steady at 0.25. I added the fug e to help fight hair algae. So far so good with algae control. Knock wood.
