I have it set to constant and running about 50% or so. I figure I'll give it time to adjust and slowly ramp it up over the course of a few days.

right now i have the gyre vertical on my overflow, might try it horizontal on the opposite end of my returns. I will say thing thing is super cereally powerful and I love it.

I run all jagers on my tanks except my nano I use a cobalt hooked to an apex. Jager makes great heaters!

Added maxspect gyre on my overflow to replace my WP60, this thing is really great. Still tweaking the angle of flow and power settings, but overall very impressed with it.

So far the 28g jbj led pro is doing well, Im having some hair algae/aptasia outbreak, but hoping to get it under control and hit up Ultimate Corals for some more acans/zoas. Eventually I want to find a rbta since my clowns took to hosting my torch. New stand for my tank courtesy of Pet Smart...

Just got the gyre in and setup initially. I will say this thing moves some serious water! I put a filter sock on my tank because right now it looks like escobar dropped a package in it with the amount of stuff the gyre kicks up! For those running the gyre vertical how low below the water...

The inside overflow in the middle is about 5/6" front to back, the actual piece of overflow is around 4" wide. Awesome! Have a pic? If I mount it directly on the overflow or to the left / right of the overflow it'd be vertically. If I mount it on the opposite end of the tank it'd be horizontal.

So the Maxspect Gyre will be here Friday and I'm debating should I mount it right on the overflow or to the left/right of the overflow or opposite end? It is a single overflow 180g pennisula tank 72 x 24 x 24.

I have this sitting in my amazon cart ready to pull the trigger. Only thing holding me up is I heard there may be a new controller/update released next month? Anyone know if this is true? I'd hate to buy this and then a month later a new one is out.
