Looks more like a Stylophora . Move it to the front of your tank by the glass. Look to see if you find any acro crabs living in the center. They will be hard to see since their so small.

Cap might grow back. If it starts to grow algae on it, it's a goner. Then frag off the good parts. Keep an eye on the frog and hammer. Too early to tell.
