    Looks great. On the sanded edges, you can heat them up with the torch and they will shine like the rest of the smooth finish. It's called glassing the edges.

    On SPS's, I try to match bag water to my tank water. If needed, i add calc or alk to my drip system. Lost too many SPS's from too much of an alk change.

    If you're talking about that piece on the right, that's a pressure fitting and should just push right in. You can always tell a pressure fitting by the ring right before the elbow turns.
