Klir Filter vs Clarisea vs Rolltermat

So I've preordered the Klir Di-4 from Joe @ Iconic Aquariums, waiting for that to be released at the beginning of September. I've never run filter socks on my tank, since I knew myself well enough to realize that I wouldn't change them often enough. I've got a lot more fish in my system now than...

    New or Used

Maybe this goes without saying, but the cost of any tank at that size is minimal compared to support equipment and running expenses. I had a custom 240 built, cost $1500 I think. But I spend that much every year on electricity for lights and pumps. I've probably spent $3000/year on food...

    Heater Controller.

Busy times for HVAC! My main system is down right now. Air handler was made in 1983, so it doesn't owe me much. Quoted $6500 to replace system. 3-ton. Sigh. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

    Heads up RAP

Only vendor that seemed really sketchy to me was the fish factory that was right next to NJRC booth... Sounds like people here mostly had good luck with them, but their area had that smell, like when you get a bag of dead snails in the mail. Really liked the vendor from PA that was selling...

    RAP expectations

I ended up with 18 frags and a couple small colonies. Nearly bought a trio on anthias, but they couldn't figure if they had Square or not. I used Apple Pay with four places, and for all of them that was the first time they'd every used it. So convenient, sends me an email receipt automagically...

    RAP- what to expect

I bought from fish of hex, so I must have been feet away, didn't see you. And I was looking... Place was crowded though.

    Water

You're sure it's from a seam and not from plumbing? I recently had a scare that ended up being just a loose bulkhead. Can you access the sump from behind? Maybe drain and slide stand and everything out. I've moved a 90g that way.

Almost 3 month time lapse of my tank...

At the beginning, you can see the cyano issue I was having on the sand bed. Near the end of April, I installed my homebuilt algae scrubber, and you can see the improvement. Looking forward to running this for longer.

180g tank leak, and what goes through your head...

My wife had had him for a few years before we met. Apparently he'd been mostly raised on pellets, with just a few feeders when he was tiny. He was in a 20g when we met, a 50g when we moved in together, and the 180g two years ago. The 180 is where we introduced friends. He definitely hunted them...

180g tank leak, and what goes through your head...

Woke up this morning, went to let the dog out, set my phone down next to our 180g turtle tank. Picked up phone, and it was damp. Oh no. Start investigating tank, and there's a small bead of water all the way across the front, and a tiny bit on the sides. Can't reach the back of this tank, as...
