Freehand using a toothpick... I had to bring in some groceries in the middle of my sculpting and had it harden quick. I was trying to make a skull and ended up with what I think looks like a Sleestak. If it ends up looking ok I thought a few different expressions would be fun.
Doing some experiments with the back wall. Made a silly face with some epoxy stick and sliced off the end of a conch shell and stuck them close to some Monti. I like the shell and if it doesn't become a algae magnet I might add some more.
Jawbreakers are slow growing and more prone to problems than my other shrooms. There is also a randomness to their patterns that makes them interesting.
IMO Zoas are not beginner corals. I think the price is cheap for what your getting... Some of the silly priced ones are expensive because they are new and desirable. If they end up being good growers the price eventually comes down to what I would call reasonable, if they are hard to keep the...
I superglue a lot... Make a pea size bubble using the most glue with the least amount of surface area because the surface dries quick. Be quick when submerging and pop that bubble of glue and smear it on the rock(you want to see glue sticking to the frag and area to be mounted) then hold for 30...
I like the rock wall and see some interesting possibilities for mounting things at different levels. I'm a small tank & fish guy too and love a big tank filled with small fish.
I have them on RMS mounts @12in off the waterline on a 12in deep tank. I had one light on this tank to start added another with a drastic decrease in the shadowing. I've seen t5 tanks next to led tanks and like the spread on the t5's. I don't know how I'll like the added electricity and bulb...
Thanks
I have... One of my lights has updated pucks and lenses. For me my sps have noticeably better sides depending where the light is. I'm still like some of the advantages these lights have over other sources but still envious of tanks lit with T5's.
Thanks Mike!!! Nice meeting you and...
The yellow acro? That's Plutonium Pikachu from ARC
Not too long ago they were opening much larger. I went through a period where they shrunk and had a few detach. I am glad they are doing better now.
Did some rearranging since my last update and fragged some of my fragable frags. Tank has been on the same path slowly improving across the board. Still have some algae that seems to be fading and still have inconsistencies with my zoas and shrooms. My sps have all been going in the right...
