Seen an update a short while ago from tropic marin stating they will be replacing all turkey plant pro salt. I also received an email from brs whom I purchased from regarding the matter as well. In the email brs provides a form to fill out to request said replacements. You need the lot number...
Your pretty deep up there lol. I do get up that way for work occasionally but not as frequently as the eastern side of nj. I will keep u updated when I'm heading that way again.
I'm running the neptune gro. It can be ran independently from the apex or interfaced. It's low powered but it's waterproof and can be mounted about 1 inch above the surface which makes it very effective.
You must have missed the part where I circled pork roll in yellow lol. Where are u located? I'm all over the place for work and if I'm ever in your area I can bring some with me and meet up with you.
Thank you for sharing this. I'm very upset now as my tank has had some issues recently and I feel like I now know the culprit as I thought it was something I was doing wrong.
Isn't that ironic. I find it hard to believe there is no ill effect on corals. I've been having some algae issues since using this Turkish bucket of TM. I'm wondering if the " insoluble clay impurities" are part of the contributor to my algae issues. I'm tossing the rest of the bucket I'll take...
Well here's the facts directly from the folks over at tropic marin. I had some discussions with some of you about this salt the other day and here's the facts directly from the manufacturer and the reason why I am trying another product. Sounds like the product will be fixed so ill likely be...
I'd like to clarify as well I didn't start this post to discuss which salt is better than the other. I'm just looking for the info I asked about what to expect the alk levels to be in the fritz blue box from fellow reefers. My reasoning for switching is not relevant so please stay on topic. If...
The water is usually room temp or colder when I start mixing. I usually turn the heater on at the same time as the powerhead then start adding the salt mix and I add it slowly not just dumping the salt in.
I have to say tropic marin never mixed dirty for me like it does now and it's mixing dirtier than when I use to use reef crystals which is sad because of how expensive it is. Hopefully someone can chime in about my original question at some point.
I wouldn't categorize fritz as premium myself either but tropic marin at 100 a bucket being a "premium salt" shouldn't mix so dirty so I'd rather pay less for an average salt and get a average salt than pay premium pricing and get average salt quality. I tried multiple buckets of tm recently and...
