Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
How do you all keep the brackets that hold the mesh top on from pulling water over the side of the tank? I thought the solution was to drill small holes on the top of the brackets, but that hasn't seemed to work.
I'm not very active in the club or the hobby anymore, but I still lurk around :)
I welcome any and all insurance questions anyone may have.
@ecam do you still have the info I sent you a couple years ago?
Good questions. The major insurances the club should have are Directors & Officers Insurance & Crime Insurance. Directors & Officers Insurance would cover all Officers of the club if they are sued as a result of serving as an officer. Without this, each officer, if sued, would be liable for...
I haven't been on here in quite a while. Hope everyone is doing well! I looked for my old copy of the By-Laws, but can't find them.
I know the existing board members may be burnt out, but for those that aren't and may want to keep their positions, there should be a section in the By-Laws...
Definitely not dinos.
Don't know...No test kits lol
You aren't lying that Chemiclean doesn't work like it used to. I used it once years ago in my 180 and it killed it and never came back.
I haven't had a problem in a very long time. Now all of a sudden I have had a cyano outbreak for at least a month. I am currently using my 4th dose of Red Slime Remover. It always comes back within a week or less. I have done a ton of water changes, running skimmer, running Chemipure Blue...
Anyone near Roxbury have a small frag or two of monti cap? Everything I put in this tiny tank dies, but what to give it a shot now that I have a new light.
I will have to look into this power conditioner. This situation was so aggravating to say the least! I told my wife that in our next house, I don't care what the price, we are putting in a whole home generator. If something like this happens again, I want my house to light up like a Christmas...
This is what I was thinking. Either the power isn't consistent or maybe the age of the generator too. I had the generator kind of ground. I have to get a piece of Romex for next time. This time I just used a roughed up wire hanger and stuck it in the dirt. I will certainly look into a power...
Anyone here have experience with generators and running our tanks off them? I was without power for 2.5 days. I had a 4000/3250 watt generator running, but it would have trouble running the three tiny pumps in my 10 gallon. Sometimes it would work and then the pumps would just stop working...
