Yea, full blown gaming laptop. Been mining Monero...turning a small profit there. Since the Ether craze GPU's have skyrocketed. I looked into doing a 6 GPU dedicated build, but the cost was unreal.

It's been a long time since I had a programmable light. Just bought an AquaMaxx Nemolight. It is programmable for sunrise, daylight, sunset and moonlights. What does everyone use for their photosynthesis (daylight) period? My current light is set for 10 hours. How about everyone else?

Honestly...a way around that is that the For Sale Section is for Used gear being sold by individuals. No new items. That would also work with our mission of helping new people get into reefing to save the world's reefs.

It is supposed to be done that way according to the By-Laws. All organizations are run where the membership has the final say...not the BOD. The topics are supposed to be brought up for discussion and then voted on by the membership. The BOD really has no power unless it is something against...

Honestly....this is how it is supposed to be according to the By-Laws. All decisions are supposed to be a membership vote.

It isn't that it is a bad price. It is more of, what does the $12 give you? It gives you access to the for sale section which is pretty dead and it gives you the ability to vote. Even at $12, that isn't enough in my opinion. I'd rather give $50 to the Coral Restoration Foundation.

You can help and learn without paying $12. This is not a benefit. Like I said...I have been a part of many conversations about what benefits we can bring to the club. All of the conversations come up short.....

BOD's no matter what organization are thankless jobs and yes it is horrible. I personally do not have the time to volunteer to be on the BOD, but I do have time to give comments, advice, suggestions, help, etc. This club is extremely too time consuming for what it is. If we were bringing in...

No offense to the BOD, but I think you are all missing the point here. There are zero benefits of being a paid member....zero. There are zero benefits that can be worked on. Group Buys are dead...you get better deals on Amazon with free shipping. Stores don't care about giving discounts...

I concur with EVERYTHING Paul has said! I don't need to repeat it. I personally stopped being a paid member. Zero benefit.
