That is really interesting. We have kept them under halides, T5s, and leds, in tanks from our 30 cube to our 205g and I've never seen that happen to any of mine. I'll have to see if I can get Mike to snap a photo.

Time for a small update. So far the battle against the bubble algae is going well. The majority of the rocks I cleaned are remaining clean, with just a few small pockets of bubble algae remaining. My next step will be to re-aquascape the tank, which will happen in late february to early march...
