So I am working on creating a rock wall for the back of my tank, and wanted to see what mortars/cements are good to use and are reef safe.
I am also conscious of weight, since this will have to be adhered to the tank.
Thread below shows what I am working on...
I would imagine placement of the lights determines if this is a factor to be concerned with.
It seems at least some people are receiving good PAR with the LED lights high above the tank, which I would anticipate would make this issue moot.
Thanks - I did see the Allied link, but when I searched their site, I could not find it.
I will call and see what they say, or call a mason supply yard.
Marc from Marco rocks suggests using Emaco R400 and Acryl 60 in aquascaping, but I have been having trouble finding these products. Especially Emaco R400.
Any ideas where to source these, or the alternative you like to use?
Thanks in advance.
I have one that has improved its blue color since I purchased it.
I have it directly under my MH, and as others have stated, responds well to a lot of light.
My 2 cents - If you are comfortable with LEDs and the build involved, I would spend the 6 bills over the 2.
I am all about the long term gain.
I think you said you were on a 6 month replacement cycle....so in 1.5 years it will have paid for itself...and that is only if you factor in bulb...
