Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Overall it was a fun and busy day. Met a lot of new people and saw some familiar ones. Got to chat reef tanks with people which is always cool. Had some awesome sales in store too. If anyone on here came out, just want to say thanks for coming by and checking it out. We do appreciate the local...
Hey guys,
TSM has moved. What a process it was moving and setting everything up. Its really starting to come together in the new spot. We still have some work to do in there and will take some time before we are 100% setup.
This Saturday we are opening the doors to the public 10a - 5p! (I...
... Taking pictures of corals!
I recently stopped by Ultimate Corals in Jackson, NJ. I've been here before a few years ago for a meet up with some friends (wish this happened more often) Mark has some awesome livestock and it felt like i was just buying from another hobbyist, which ultimately...
Hello,
I ordered a box of Hanna LR reagent rather than the ULR. If anyone happens to use the hanna phosphate LR reagent i have a free pack of it for you.
Just shoot me a message if you want it.
Nice, the Evo is a fun little tank. I liked it a lot and held on to mine for years. Did some cosmetic changes to it. I did a bunch of videos of it on my youtube. Having that tank taught me a lot, met a ton of cool people and made some solid connections.
I remember flow being a slight issue...
I used tropic marin salt for a year and i really loved it. I used their pro biotic salt as it was a little higher in ALK and closer to what my tank tested at (12.5dkh)
After 10% water change my water was crystal clear.
I recently switched to Aqua forest salt and have been very happy with it so...
GFO, just be careful with it as it will pull your alk down as well if you use a lot or replenish it often. Up the water change frequency or volume. Refugium can help out too.
Also a more active approach would be just to siphon out what you can on the sandbed and rocks. You could blast the rocks...
How old is the tank?
Looks like cyano in the pictures to me.
The claim is that the imbalance of nitrate and phosphate (one being higher than the other) will allow the cyano bacteria to take foot over beneficial good guy bacteria.
The chemi-clean treatments work as a bandaid in your situation...
We are still open saturdays 10a - 4p.
Lots of corals in stock and we do have fish in stock as well. Some captive bred too.
QT process has not changed if you are wondering on that front.
We are transitioning owners which should be cleared up relatively soon.
Im just an employee there not...
Have you tried dipping them at all? Lugols would be a good start. I know "Kung fu corals" has a dipping solution/method that allegedly has great success. worth checking out as these torch corals are not cheap now a days... good luck!
