Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
It seems schedule 40 can have performance issues. Valves hard to open and close, failures, etc. I can't take a chance upstairs. I will need just 2 unions and a gate valve upstairs. Peace of mind means a lot to me.
Any opinions on King Brothers plumbing supplies? Amazon has them, and the prices seem pretty good. I plan on using schedule 80, especially above the basement.
The box stores seem to lack decent supplies. And a guy on RC had a Lowes ball valve fail on a closed loop and he lost 300 gallons in 3...
Started to cure some BRS reef saver and figi rock after treating it in vinegar for a week. About 50-60 lbs. Salt water, heater and mag 7. I assume keep it at normal aquarium temps 76-80.
How long do you think this process will take? I will do water changes every few days. Any other helpful...
I'm a huge fan of black backrounds, In the many show tanks that I see, (IMHO) black give the sense of depth, Blue doesn't do it for me. Only thing is you need to keep it clean.
I got a aquarium stand with my Frag/QT tank that I wont be using. Its 36" by 12". Particle board with a plastic black finish. Not show material but functional.
$25.00 takes it.

lol...I was planning on 12 inches and thought I'd need additional cable, but after I mounted the board and the hook, it ended up 13 inches, so I said "works for me!"

Best of luck...if you go to reef central they have some great info on raising marine fish like clowns and cardinals. They talk about the different fry foods needed etc. This batch might not work out, but if you prepare you might get another shot in the future.
