    King Brothers Plumbing fittings

It seems schedule 40 can have performance issues. Valves hard to open and close, failures, etc. I can't take a chance upstairs. I will need just 2 unions and a gate valve upstairs. Peace of mind means a lot to me.

    King Brothers Plumbing fittings

Any opinions on King Brothers plumbing supplies? Amazon has them, and the prices seem pretty good. I plan on using schedule 80, especially above the basement. The box stores seem to lack decent supplies. And a guy on RC had a Lowes ball valve fail on a closed loop and he lost 300 gallons in 3...

Started to cure some BRS reef saver and figi rock after treating it in vinegar for a week. About 50-60 lbs. Salt water, heater and mag 7. I assume keep it at normal aquarium temps 76-80. How long do you think this process will take? I will do water changes every few days. Any other helpful...

    Dan's 150 Rebuild

I'm a huge fan of black backrounds, In the many show tanks that I see, (IMHO) black give the sense of depth, Blue doesn't do it for me. Only thing is you need to keep it clean.

lol...I was planning on 12 inches and thought I'd need additional cable, but after I mounted the board and the hook, it ended up 13 inches, so I said "works for me!" I hope to go mixed reef. I have a while till the DT is up and running and I thought I'd try to grow out some frags for the DT...

Hung LED over temporary frag tank. 13 inches. Can I get away with coral and no bio source if I do very frequent and large water changes with no fish?

    Help with Stocking

JRwohler stated salt water is 1 inch per 5 gallons, so you are close already. Then you have the bio load of coral to consider.

    Help with Stocking

This maybe old school and not accurate anymore, but for a fish only tank the rule was an inch per gallon. You might be there with your current fish.

The light arrived today. It has two channels with one all blue. Can I get away with one channel at 12 inches? Or do I need both running. Hate to use up two plug spots for one light. As a temporary frag tank, what would be the easiest way to have a bio filter. The tank has a hang on filter with...

    Dusky jawfish

Best of luck...if you go to reef central they have some great info on raising marine fish like clowns and cardinals. They talk about the different fry foods needed etc. This batch might not work out, but if you prepare you might get another shot in the future.
