Exposed wires :o Thats a perfect example for why you should have a grounding probe!!
Also as you get into bigger tank and bigger sumps...the surface area increases. As the surface area increases the tank will cool off a lot quicker through evaporative cooling.
I have 2 heaters on min as my tank is in my basement where it is always around 68-75. If I didn't have them, my tank would definitely get too cold as it has happened during blackouts, even with my 3 halides, 2 return pumps and skimmer.
At night my tank gets down to about 78 and the heaters...
I am available afternoons and evenings. Just let me know when you can come by and I'll let you know for sure that I'll be here.
Hanover Pet is now Aquatic Visions. I'm only 5 minutes from there toward the center of town near Kraft Foods.
Here are some pics of the parent colonies. The colors in the pics are terrible. I need to get a macro lens for camera. Stop in and see them for yourself!

Don't worry about the pistol killing anything...I've got my cleaner, a blood red, and many snails....never has hurt a thing.
Also, just be sure to check for which pistol is compatible with the yellow watchman....I thing the Tiger Pistol is...which is what...
Right now I'm torn on what CUC to put in my tank.
I know I want about 50-75 Nassarius Snails.
Now my dilemma is the last time that I had blue-leg hermits, they were killing my Nass. Snails.
When I had Astrea snails, they were killing themselves by falling off the glass or rocks and not...
Been there...done that!! It's nasty!!
But a mishap I had was have the bottom plastic trim on my 180 crack and having to pack everything I have into a 55 with no lights for about 2 weeks. That sucked!!
Hey Jim...I just went through your entire thread....Gorgeous tank!!!
How has the CBB and The Yellow Longnose done with the corals?? I've been afraid to add the CBB for that reason.
Why do I have to get into so many expensive hobbies?!?! First an expensive car!! Then a reef tank!! Now something I need to build a wine cellar for. :o :o
HAHAHA Thanks Rod...but the people I live with don't even know I have it ;D
I may just buy a cooler and put a Hygrometer in there to watch the humidity level. Opening the door every so often should keep the humidity...no??
I answer your reef questions Nick!!
I don't have a friend I trust with my $100 bottle of wine LOL.
Rod....I read that too. I'm wondering if I were to put a small dish of water in the cooler if that would keep the humidity up. Because I don't see how the cooler would produce humidity.
