What is important to you in your light? Do you want to keep sps mainly, mixed, etc? Do you want to have a "full spectrum" fixture with green, uv, red etc? And what is your price range lol.

As for other fish, no clowns for the little lady? I have been eying up a lamarks angel, and after seeing the tiny guy matt has yesterday, that would be a cool addition. Very active fish, seemed to be all over the tank which is cool.

A friend of mine had one for a bit, he had to cut all flow in the tank, and almost serve the food on a platter outside the gobys hole. This was in a mangrove tank, about 4" of water, and no other species in the tank with it. I was over his house a hundred times, I think I saw the fish twice...

One thing that jumped out to me was that a flaming prawn goby is like .5" if I recall correctly

whether LEDs will work or not is completely dependent on what type of fixture it is. Do you have a brand name of it etc that could be looked up to find the exact specifications of it? And dimensions of the tank as well, is it a standard 5 gal or a cube so that its taller etc. More than likely...

trop tanks are cheap, should be close to you.

Not sure about the reproductive question but I know stars decay somethin nasty when they die, and I'd imagine it would be Berri bad for your situation, id get it out unfortunately

Serpent stars eat fish. They are very opportunistic and will grab when they can. Get rid of the star, get a sand sifter or something, and you should be fine to get the pipefish

The blue leds actually put out a lot of PAR and you can run a negligible amount of "white" lighting with them.
