4A455833-32C3-4154-A7C2-73D6FBCCA520.jpegI finally spent some money on corals and I am so glad I decided to. I ended up scoring a rrc rainbow splice and I can’t wait till it grows out. The other coral is a sbb pink berry. Should colorup some but who knows I am more excited for the splice.

I needed to make room on my frag rack to house the splice and the pink berry since that tank seems to grow coral consistently so I moved this husky fella to the big tank.

Yeah I deffinitly need to frag more of it, this coral can get all green and pink under the right conditions. I’m my biocube I think I’m extremely low on iodine and molybdenum so it lost some of its green, here is what the frag looked like when I first got it.

Thank you, never really got down how to use my dslr and work the white balance on it however, when I use the yellow polyplab lense the corals colors are as close to my eyes so it’s much easier and more convenient to take and upload pics from the phone nowadays.
Try using Kelvin for white balance and dial it until it looks right. Plus you'll need an orange filter for your lens.

Well, I figure the big tank could use some sps to suck up a lot of alkalinity in the water so here are some quick daylight shots using just warm whites and cool whites so I can get a 6500k look. Soon will come the actinic shots!C79EA7E0-EDC9-4E96-82A7-BD6CA2092A7F.jpeg8F8EBB54-F4BE-4C83-BC22-3D8662E686AE.jpeg5F2183AC-B699-4DD5-8171-AA19BA4CC62C.jpeg

The first one is poto cofefe which grows alottt like cornbreds tangerine dream. Both are very unique and will be a true orange. I am in love with this coral already and I haven’t seen it yet in actinics with orange glasses. I expect to see a color loss across all corals once they settle in and sprout new growth the color will return.

Second go around with this favia after my lobo ate the first one right off the ground. And also third try with an og bounce. This one’s been healed for awhile and hopefully with my bigger tank where there’s area of no flow and I am dosing nitrates and phosphates I’ll be able to keep it alive.
