Hey Eric, one of the export brands had a bright pink color to try to mimic coralin algae, and that’s just a hunk of it, it pops under pink. But if I was to suggest a pink boobies chalice will be a great addition for you if you want pink.

John,
Congratulations on your tank, you are doing a very good job and the results are awesome looking corals.
I've never been able to get an Acro to have discent coloration, hopefully I'll run with better luck on my new setup.
Hope to buy some frags from you when my tank is ready for Acros.
Keep up the good work.

I will pay my dues when that happens, but I am what you call an acro hoarder. The bigger the tank they way easier it is to keep things constant. Feed heavily with a good skimmer and good lights with some vortechs. I have always had a 2part doser since I couldn’t figure out the calcium reactor but the more stable and consistent things are the better. My corals have grown through anything, when I do a water change my alk swings from 10 back down to 8.1 and everything is fine, as long as the nutrients are there

I can’t wait to check on them tomorrow. I keep them on the frag rack for a little bit until I’m sure the glues set. I have three urchins that go straight for anything new in the tank so hopefully the corals are still on the plugs and haven’t fallen below onto the favia gardens.

I have two tiny tuxedos and they have stayed very small , about the size of a gumball. And then I have another but I forgot it’s name and he’s a bit bigger but hasn’t grown fast at all. I think they are a good addition if you need it. When my tank crashed I had crazy nutrients so I threw three in to keep my algea pruned until the nutrients lowered. And they have been in there ever since.

Going to be moving this guy a bit lower in the tank away from flow , all it wanted to do was encrust and even after fully encrusting all it cannot still doesn’t want to shoot. I have tried clipping the tips, nicking the base, adding more flow. It encrusted like crazy but hasn’t kept the deep vibrant green as when it was a frag. I have no idea what coral this is because it looks nothing like what it should just yet.

Deff had too much fun playing in the tank today. Re mounted my green coral lower, snipped it’s tip. Mounted the bill murray, hopefully it doesn’t rtn from the gyre lol. The dnov goni is literally fire. My ssc which wasn’t getting enough par and started to look decrepid and had no PE has returned with a vengeance. The brown turd acro is a vivids rainbow delight and is the hardest acro to color. And my Walt Disney’s are growing out of the water and need to be fragged more. The three frags on the rack are already all Disney’s but not in enough light to get the show colors.
