One thing that jumped out to me was that a flaming prawn goby is like .5" if I recall correctly

You are correct they range from 0.5" -1.5".
Should this fish be a concern? For example being eaten.

Any other suggestions in fish? Im looking for a community tank so I don't want any fish down the line to get territorial.

A friend of mine had one for a bit, he had to cut all flow in the tank, and almost serve the food on a platter outside the gobys hole. This was in a mangrove tank, about 4" of water, and no other species in the tank with it. I was over his house a hundred times, I think I saw the fish twice lol. They are awesome looking but they do not handle any type of flow well, and are very hard to get food to especially If you have any agressive eaters in the tank.

Personally unless you have a maybe 8 gallon tank, max, its not worth it cause you'll never ever ever see the guy. And they are like $175. If you can find em


I'm not 100% sure on this either but the blennies might fight each other. Someone more well versed on them might be able to chime in but I think that blennies are very aggressive towards each other even slightly different types.

I have been eying up a lamarks angel, and after seeing the tiny guy matt has yesterday, that would be a cool addition. Very active fish, seemed to be all over the tank which is cool.

Well went on live aquaria and this is my fish list.
Anyone one have concerns of my fish list please advise me. I don't want to get anything aggressive that will end up killing other fish.
Or if you have any other suggestions for fish post them too

Avoid the flaming prawn goby, they disapear in my 12g tank and there are many other people with the same experience. It is an expensive fish that you will never see. For the dracula goby, look for a tiger or candy cane pistol as they seem to be the best at pairing with shrimp and being reef safe. The anthias and flasher are fine, but I would be a touch worried about the hooded. Fairy wrasse are pretty active swimmers and in a 60 cube it might not be enough. It could lead to some aggression. Hoodeds are generally on the less aggressive side so you should be fine, but just wanted to point it out. The flasher is a great sized wrasse for the tank, and if you can find a pair even better as you will get the "flashing" behavior out of the wrasse. Unfotunately the smaller fairy wrasses that would probably do well in a 60 cube are expensive, look at the johnson's fairy wrasee and the lunate fairy wrasse.

Yeah no Nemo in this tank. The lamarks angel is a pretty fish but min requirement tank size is a 120 gal.

Thanks Mike. I guess two people X the Flaming goby so looks like he's off the list. I will take the hooded fairy out cause like said I don't want any type of aggression in the tank so I won't chance it.
I will take the Johnson's and the lunate wrasses into consideration.
But what are the other smaller wrasse's are you thinking of.

Flasher wrasses are really your best bet, a pair of them would do great in a 60 cube and they are not aggressive. You could look at a melanarus wrasse which are peaceful but might pickup off inverts depending on what you want to put in the tank. Leopard wrasses are incredibly peaceful but you would need a very mature system with a TON of pods to keep them alive (and a sand bed). Possum wrasses stay very small and are very reef safe but don't have quite the same look as the flashers and fairies out there.

Well a little update. The tank is moving along nicely. Some of my base rock is starting to get some coralline algae on it. That's a plus. Also it's starting to show some diatom algae as well.
I picked up a few corals in the past few weeks. Some are showing a little sign of growth and started to encrust the rock as well.

Gobies, barnacle blennies and anthias first, then the sail fin follwed by the flasher, yellow (I assume yellow coris) and then the hooded (In my opinion). Where are you ordering from?

Thanx Kevin. Yes still using NSW. So far I've had corals in my tank for just over a month everything has some type of growth and attaching themselves to the LR. So I'm gonna say so far so good. " knocking on wood".

Wow. It's been a while since I updated. Well a little up dated.

I just started 2part dosing to keep my alk / cal from swinging so much.
I also had to vent my skimmers air line outside. I run a fireplace in my house so it's dropping my PH in the tank.
I've been having issues with my corals getting pale. Which I had my friend come over and test my water with his test kits. All I have to say is that my API test kit were not having the same reading as his. They were actually lower then his readings. So I went and bought Salifert test kits now.

I ended up buying my first fish for my tank which is a Sleeper Gold head Goby. So that he takes care of my dead spots in between rock work. He doing a great job at it too.

I've been busy this past few weeks building a stand for my friend. The stand is gonna hold a 125 gal with a 55 gal sump.
