Dan's 150 Rebuild

Fish seemed a bit still but they could have been sleeping Lol I bought a 450w heater at aquarium center this morning. I needed a new one anyways. Should be good by the time I get back home

All is well now :) back up to 78°. I just googled the heater I got and amazon is selling it for $60 and I got it from aquarium center for $45 so that's pretty nice :)

Just ordered the 150g/day upgrade kit for my rodi finally, can't wait til it gets here. It'll help so much with making more water for the new tank :)

Good to hear Dan. I gotta set up my extra membrane as well. I have all the pieces laying around just been to lazy to do it.

Well I just put together my 150gpd upgrade, everything is working out smoothly, gonna next change out all my canisters bc in the year and a half that I've had it, never replaced anything Lol

Question. It says to have at least 65psi for the upgrade to really work. Mine fluctuates between like 63-68psi... Think that's gonna be a concern?

If you get a pump booster you get greater consistent pressure which produces more water per hour. It also allows the membranes to last longer. I have a well with psi of 65-40. The pump made a huge difference.

Yeah the pump is also really expensive Lol I just made a 5g bucket in less than an hour so I guess if I see any signs of slowing down I'll invest in one. Seems to be good for right now tho :)

Just picked up a pink bird nest colony from Dan K. Thing is massive, will put a pick up soon whenever my camera on my.phone decides to work. Gotta get some updated shots anyways before I tear it all back down to put the new tank up

well if I could borrow the stock tank I want then I was gonna keep my livestock and rock in there and put the sand into something separate so I could add that back in first and let it settle

that's prob the best thing to do. i mistakenly reused sand without letting it settle a few years back and lost a significant portion of my livestock.

That sand at 1 month old doesn't have enough of anything to do any harm. I quick rinse, which it's gonna get by removing it will be all good.
